{"id":13859,"date":"2021-05-10T18:38:31","date_gmt":"2021-05-10T18:38:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/societatbluesbarcelona.org\/?p=13859"},"modified":"2021-05-10T18:38:31","modified_gmt":"2021-05-10T18:38:31","slug":"blues-weekend-at-tecla-salas-library","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/societatbluesbarcelona.org\/en\/blues-weekend-at-tecla-salas-library\/","title":{"rendered":"BLUES WEEKEND AT TECLA SALA&#8217;s LIBRARY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the weekend of May 7 and 8, 2021, the Auditorium\u00a0of the Tecla Sala Library in L&#8217;Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona-Spain) has been occupied by activities organized by the Barcelona Blues Society (SBB) in order to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Blues Founds.<\/p>\n<p>First, on Friday, May 7, 2021, the BLUES RECORDS FEST started\u00a0with the fantastic concert\u00a0by James Sedgwick &amp; Brian O&#8217;Mahony\u00a0who played the songs of\u00a0their new CD &#8220;Sedgwick &amp; Shingles&#8221; to\u00a0a\u00a0public that enjoyed their music and jokes.\u00a0The concert was\u00a0introduced by the writer Manolo L\u00f3pez Poy, and receives the support of AIE and\u00a0Tecla Sala&#8217;s Library.<\/p>\n<p>The next day, Jordi Prat presented his new book &#8220;Prettiest Train&#8221;. The author motivated the dialogue with the public getting complicity\u00a0since the first minute. A cultural activity that was enjoyed by the\u00a0audience.<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, the morning continued with the two-hour General Assembly of SBB members, in which there were presented the activity report, the statement of accounts and the annual purposes for 2020 for the SBB, and\u00a0at the turn of questions and suggestions there was a very interesting debate between the members.<\/p>\n<p>During this weekend, many of the people attending the activities organized by the SBB were able to visit and enjoy the expo\u00a0THE BLUES\u00a0OF AMADEU CASAS, with photographs by been occupied by activities organized by the Barcelona Blues Society (SBB) in order to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Blues Founds. First, on Friday, May 7, 2021, the BLUES RECORDS FEST started\u00a0with the fantastic concert\u00a0by James Sedgwick &amp; Brian O&#8217;Mahony\u00a0who played the songs of\u00a0their new CD &#8220;Sedgwick &amp; Shingles&#8221; to\u00a0a\u00a0public that enjoyed their music and jokes.\u00a0The concert was\u00a0introduced by the writer Manolo L\u00f3pez Poy, and receives the support of AIE and\u00a0Tecla Sala&#8217;s Library. The next day, Jordi Prat presented his new book &#8220;Prettiest Train&#8221;. The author motivated the dialogue with the public getting complicity\u00a0since the first minute. A cultural activity that was enjoyed by the\u00a0audience. Afterwards, the morning continued with the two-hour General Assembly of SBB members, in which there were presented the activity report, the statement of accounts and the annual purposes for 2020 for the SBB, and\u00a0at the turn of questions and suggestions there was a very interesting debate between the members. During this weekend, many of the people attending the activities organized by the SBB were able to visit and enjoy the expo\u00a0THE BLUES\u00a0OF AMADEU CASAS, with photographs by Joan Josep G\u00f3mez and Jordi Vidal, which will be\u00a0exhibited\u00a0until May 31 2021.
