The Barcelona Blues Society’s Annual Party <\/strong>is ready!!!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a1\u00a1And we will celebrate it with some very fine blues musicians and blues dancers!!<\/p>\n

The act\u00a0will start\u00a0with an introductory session\u00a0to the\u00a0BLUES DANCE<\/strong> offered by\u00a0\u00a0GEM ANTOJA<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0MIGUEL A. CRUZ<\/strong>\u00a0where everybody\u00a0will be able to\u00a0enjoy their open class. The evening\u00a0will continue with a choreography by the\u00a0BLUES SHAKERS<\/strong>\u00a0that\u00a0they have prepared to encourage everyone to dance, inviting the public\u00a0to move the body to the rhythm of the blues.<\/p>\n

The concert will start with the prodigious voice of\u00a0DONALD RAY JOHNSON<\/strong>, who was awarded with the Grammy Award in 1978. This great artist who also is a terrific drummer\u00a0has performed with many of the biggest names in blues, touring with\u00a0Big Mama Thornton, Philip Walker, Smokey Wilson, etc.\u00a0He was born in Texas and his training was forged in the church, where he learned the basics of his vocal style and rhythm beat. Currently he resides in Calgary, Canada, and has been nominated several times for the Maple Blues Award awarded by the Toronto Blues Society. He also was voted as the\u00a0Best Male Vocalist by Real Blues magazine Magazine 2007.<\/p>\n

Having the presence of Donald Ray Johnson was due thanks to the complicity of the French musician who accompanies him for over twelve years, the guitarist GASPARD OSSIKIAN<\/strong>, who with his band Gas Blues Band acted in the European Blues Challenge 2016. We’ll have them both with us and also they will tour France acting on important festivals such as Nice, Beziers, Pezenas or Annezy Jazz Festival.<\/p>\n

Both artists will play with BERNAT FONT<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0piano, T\u00d2FOL MART\u00cdNEZ<\/strong>\u00a0on bass, MART\u00cd EL\u00cdAS<\/strong>\u00a0on drums, and\u00a0V\u00cdCTOR PUERTAS<\/strong>\u00a0on the harmonicas.<\/p>\n

At the end of\u00a0the concert, 3 DVDs of\u00a0M\u00c9MOIRE DE BLUES\u00a0<\/strong>will be raffled\u00a0between the attending people\u00a0and there will also be the\u00a0BIG BILL BROONZY\u00a0AWARD CERIMONY.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The party will end with a final\u00a0JAM SESSION,<\/strong>\u00a0we hope that both for musicians and dancers!<\/p>\n
