During the weekend of May 7 and 8, 2021, the Auditorium of the Tecla Sala Library in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona-Spain) has been occupied by activities organized by the Barcelona Blues Society (SBB) in order to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Blues Founds.
First, on Friday, May 7, 2021, the BLUES RECORDS FEST started with the fantastic concert by James Sedgwick & Brian O’Mahony who played the songs of their new CD “Sedgwick & Shingles” to a public that enjoyed their music and jokes. The concert was introduced by the writer Manolo López Poy, and receives the support of AIE and Tecla Sala’s Library.
The next day, Jordi Prat presented his new book “Prettiest Train”. The author motivated the dialogue with the public getting complicity since the first minute. A cultural activity that was enjoyed by the audience.
Afterwards, the morning continued with the two-hour General Assembly of SBB members, in which there were presented the activity report, the statement of accounts and the annual purposes for 2020 for the SBB, and at the turn of questions and suggestions there was a very interesting debate between the members.
During this weekend, many of the people attending the activities organized by the SBB were able to visit and enjoy the expo THE BLUES OF AMADEU CASAS, with photographs by Joan Josep Gómez and Jordi Vidal, which will be exhibited until May 31 2021.
