Mike Vernon began his career as a Decca executive in 1963, producing John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers (with Eric Clapton) in 1966, Ten Years After, Savoy Brown and David Bowie in 1967, among other artists. In 1965 he founded his own record label “Blue Horizon” with which he produced artists such as Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac, Rory Gallagher and many of the British Blues boom bands, but also some of the first American blues artists to tour Europe, such as Eddie Boyd, JB Lenoir, Champion Jack Dupree, Johnny Shines, Hubert Sumlin, Doctor Ross, Otis Spann, Bukka White, Sunnyland Slim, etc. He was a producer and member of Rocky Sharpe and the Replays between 1979 and 1983, and has produced artists such as Roben Ford, Dr. Feelgood, Eric Clapton, Rod Steward, Dana Gillespie, Larry Mc Cray, and many more.
The conference will be given by Mike Vernon, producer and musician, with simultaneous translation by Quique Bonal, guitarist and co-director of the Aracena Blues Festival.
