The Barcelona Blues Society (SBB) has started a cultural exchange of CDs with Notodden Blues Festival (Norway), by sending albums of Spanish blues artists for the Bog og Blueshuset of this city and receiving CDs of Norwegian musicians for the Blues Funds of Tecla Sala Central Library. This exchange intends to promote the knowledge about the blues between the two countries.
Some members of the SBB that were attending the Blues Market 2016 organized by the European Blues Union loaded with a lot of material about European blues. Today, the Blues Funds of Tecla Sala Library is the reference center in Europe of Spanish and European blues, and soon it will about American blues, according to the speech of Miquel Abella at the SBB General Assembly 2016.
We are very pleased to announce that the first JUKEBOX SESSIONS coordinated by Manolo López Poy that were offered at Tecla Sala Library the past 5 May were a success. The public listened attentively both the 10th blues and the explanations that the journalist and writer proposed for the audition. We hope therefore that this initiative has continuity!
