We are pleased to announce that the three bands which have reached the grand finale of Barcelona Blues Society Challenge for Emerging Blues Bands are:

Mateo Ortega & The Sugar Daddies
The grand finale will take place on November 29 from 8:30 p.m. at the Aula de Cultura de Collblanc-La Torrassa (Mare de Déu dels Desamparatats, 87. Hospitalet de Llobregat), with free admission and no prior reservation required. Each of the three groups will perform a 30-minute set in front of an expert jury that will decide the winner.
The winners will receive the following prizes:
– A 3 days 7 hours per day recording at the Studio of Casa de la Música Popular in Hospitalet de Llobregat (Salamandra).
– A remunerated gig during year 2025 at:
Benicassim Blues Festival (June)
Cerdanyola Blues Festival (October)
Gig at the Cycle “Pocket Concerts” at the Aula de Cultura Collblanc-LaTorrassa.
Gig organized by the SBB
Gig at the Centre Cultural Albareda in Barcelona.
We encourage people to come to enjoy and give support to these new blues bands which, with energy, dedication and enthusiasm, take over and keep the flame of the blues alive.
