We are very happy to announce that Joan Ventosa will receive the 2022 Big Bill Broonzy Award by the Barcelona Blues Society on Sunday, April 24 at 5:30 p.m., at the PIB Festival, which he worked to make it possible, as well as the SBB itself as a founding member and artistic director and member of the board, or the Cicle of Blues & Boogie, the “Thursdays Blues” at Casa Golferichs, the Blues Funds at Tecla Sala, the Bad Music association, etc, etc, etc… Joan Ventosa has been a cultural manager at L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) since the 80’s. Congratulations Joan! And thank you very much for dedicating your life working for the blues, as well as for helping to give it the dignity that it deserves.
